RED ABACUS DESIGN is a boutique design firm, based in Hong Kong and Shanghai, that focuses on architecture and interior design, but also branch into other design disciplines like CI, product and event/exhibition design in order to create a coherency within a project. The design firm was founded in 2004 by Regina Chow, Clarence lam and Brian Yau.

Regina Chow, with a bachelor and master degree in Architecture from UC Berkeley and Columbia University has years of experience working directly under prominent designer like Steven Holl and QingYun Ma. Over the years she has cultivated a unique sense of style and design that combines a balance of edginess and comfort within a strong sense of spatiality.

Clarence Lam, after completing bachelor degrees of Legal Studies and Architecture from UC Berkeley gained over 8 years of experience working in the real estate development industry in the US. managing multi-million dollars residential and mixed use projects in land and building developments. He has honed his skills with technical knowledge and project management savvy needed to ensure that each project can be executed smoothly and efficiently.

Brian Yau has a degree in fashion design and merchandising from The London School of Design and years of experience within the fashion as well as the PR and marketing industries. His keen sense of trends and vast knowledge of textiles helps define the details to each of the projects.

The design team at RED ABACUS DESIGN led by the three very different yet cohesive directors has completed many interesting and successful projects over the recent years and continue to strive for excellence on current and future projects.
